Looking for a great Fall camping trip destination?
Look no further than the South Carolina Lowcountry. Our beautiful state offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun, and the Fall season is the best time to take advantage of them.
Campsites in the Lowcountry fill up fast during peak season, so be sure to make your reservation as early as possible. And if you’re looking for a little more luxury than a typical campsite can offer, check out Edisto Beach State Park. The park offers seven cabins, completely furnished, heated, and air conditioning and with all of the amenities. Cabins are located on a salt marsh, 1.5 miles from the ocean. You’ll still get to enjoy all the best parts of camping (outdoors, nature, etc.) but with a few more perks to make your trip even more enjoyable.
One of the best things about Fall camping is the weather.
It’s usually cool enough to enjoy all your favorite outdoor activities without feeling overheated, and the South Carolina Lowcountry is no exception. Just be sure to pack a jacket for the cooler evenings!
Fall Hiking
If you’re a fan of hiking, this time of year is perfect for exploring some of the area’s many trails. And since our sycamore trees are changing color, you’ll get to enjoy some beautiful scenery as well.

The Lowcountry is home to many great fishing spots, so whether you’re an experienced angler or just getting started, you’re sure to have a good time. Just be sure to get your fishing license before heading out!
