Named after the legendary Harriet Tubman, who freed more than 700 slaves from right here in the Lowcounty, the Black Moses Freedom Festival will be held June 10-12 in downtown Beaufort celebrating the legacy of Tubman through Heritage, Health, and Wellness.
This 3-day FREE health, wellness, and cultural festival will feature dozens of activities for the entire family. We will kick things off Friday, June 10 at 3 p.m. with music, art, workshops and community activities. We explore what liberation means through themes of economic empowerment, agricultural equality, art, and wellness. We’ll also host a livestream reception from 6-8 pm with Beaufort Native and TV Personality Sasha Horne of Sasha Talks Tech. We would love it if you could share this event with your audience. This is an event of UNITY – we want the entire community to celebrate Juneteenth! The holiday is about freedom and that is something EVERYONE can stand behind!
