Step Right Up! – The Sideshow in America will celebrate the work of Rebecca Davenport a Beaufort-based visual artist, who exhibited her work at the Beaufort Museum in the Arsenal in 2008. The Sideshow in America will celebrate her work in the larger context of carnival culture through an exploration of the sideshow as cultural phenomenon during the late 19th century and continuing through the 21st century at the McKissick Museum, 813 Bull Street on the University of South Carolina Columbia campus.
